Unlike conventional espresso machines that grind beans and store them in a chamber where they oxidize and lose flavor before they enter the brewing system, this machine uses a direct grind-to-brew system that immediately brews the beans you grind into the espresso you are about to drink, creating the freshest possible flavor. The espresso maker is programmable, ensuring that coffee will be ready when you wake up, and allows you to adjust start time and automatic shut off. A professional-quality burr grinder holds seven ounces of beans and enables you to calibrate the fineness of each grind, while two separate dials alter coffee strength and brewed amounts to satisfy different tastes, and a height-adjustable spout allows you to brew into espresso cups or 12-oz mugs. A lidded, detachable 25-oz. container froths or steams milk with the touch of a button, topping up to six cappuccinos or lattes, and stores in your refrigerator.
